If you're looking for a great local spot in Kauai, look no further than Konohiki Seafoods. Nestled conveniently close to the airport, this unassuming gem offers a great variety of dishes. While there is no seating available indoors or out doors (the only reason for 4 stars vs 5), the flavors of each dish make it more than worth the choice to savor your meal from the comfort of your own car. The Ahi Shoyu Poke Bowl at Konohiki Seafoods is a true standout; the succulent ahi tuna is perfectly marinated in shoyu. The Yellowtail Poke is also a must-try. We also tried the Kahlua Pork Plate, an embodiment of Hawaiian comfort food at its finest. The succulent, slow-cooked pork is delicious and also comes paired with a side of their renowned poke. The Fried Ginger Shrimp was also very good. While seating may not be available, the decision to enjoy your meal in the comfort of your car (or taking it back to your hotel/house) is totalliy worth it. Konohiki Seafoods is a must-visit destination that promises to leave a lasting impression.
