Our go-to Japanese food in Evanston. Always tasty, always fresh, balanced traditional food. Our Japanese friend was the person to introduce it to us and it has been a favorite ever since. The place is peaceful with a nice atmosphere. Their sushi is very fresh and Japanese authentic style, with no fancy rolls. I really like their selection of raw fish and tasty tempura! Kuni's Japanese Restaurant is the BEAST!!!! Love their foods and staff. Foods are authentic style and fresh & Staffs are friendly as well! Most shocking thing about this restaurant is that one owner owned and ran the restaurant for over 35 years in one location.In case Jerry D's comment mislead the reviewers... this restaurant does take all major credit cards since they opened the restaurant. I always go there and pay with credit card and they DO ACCEPT the credit cards!!!I still enjoying the foods at Kuni's! I'm happy that they are still opened during this pandemic! Support for restaurant!
