L'Épicerie is a charming, cozy restaurant tucked away in the heart of Strasbourg. The interior is decorated to look like an old Provencal grocery store, with wooden tables and rough walls, giving it a unique atmosphere. The menu revolves around "tartines" (open-faced sandwiches) with a great variety of toppings for all tastes. The bread is locally produced and the toppings are fresh and high quality. The service is friendly and laidback. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great value meal. The desserts are also delicious, especially the creme caramel. We come and visit L'Épicerie since over 10 years. But last time we didn't get a table inside, because we want only drink something and nothing to eat. This is for me unacceptable, because there where still free tables. So, next time we have our drinks somewhere else....
