Brasserie L'Est in Lyon is a fine dining spot that serves excellent French cuisine. The establishment has a pleasant and lively atmosphere, with a model train running around near the ceiling. The interior design is elegant yet informal, creating a comfortable and welcoming ambiance. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food justifies the cost. Located in the old Brotteaux train station, Brasserie L'Est offers a unique dining experience.
One of the standout dishes on the menu is the pan-seared beef fillet, which unfortunately was overcooked for one reviewer. However, the chicken Caesar salad was a hit and generous in portion size. The smoked salmon was good, but the pork cutlet was not properly cooked. The seafood platter was a delight, with a variety of fresh, flavorful seafood.
For drinks, the establishment offers a wide range of wines, including the local Crozes Hermitage. Cocktails and soft drinks are also available. The service is generally good, with friendly and attentive staff. Special features include outdoor seating and live music on occasion.
Overall, Brasserie L'Est is a great place to dine in Lyon, especially for those looking for a unique and memorable experience.

We also just seen on the bill that we payed more than the Menu for the shrimps, to much for the wine and to much for the risotto. So so bad. Please go somewhere else to eat
