Sharing an experience I had some five years ago, if I remember correctly. This is a small Italian restaurant with limited seating, can recommend calling in advance to book a table. It's not a typical Italian place that sells cheap pizza, it's warm, cozy, and filling dishes that change depending on the season and availability. I remember having ordered a seafood pasta with truffles. The gambas were huge, the pasta was fresh and chewy, the sauce flavorful and rich. Fresh and delicious, and can recommend this place if you want to try something different. The wait and cost are worth it, in my opinion. Higher price category Friendly service Excellent bread Price-performance questionable L'Osteria di Mimmo is located right on the main street, in the former Cafe National and offers an excellent view from the first floor of the pedestrian zone and Lloyd Square. The parking situation is a little more difficult. However, it is a good idea to search the side streets and, with a bit of luck, even find a free parking space. In principle, it is advisable to make a reservation, at least if you prefer one of the nicer places. Hygiene measures are largely adhered to. At the entrance below you will be checked to see whether you meet one of the 3G requirements and then asked to choose a seat upstairs. In addition to the menu, there is also a daily selection, which is written in chalk on a black board above the bar. The prices are written in the format E22 = 22€. The selection is thankfully clear and should have something to offer for pretty much everyone. In addition to homemade pasta, the focus is on meat dishes and especially seafood. Care is always taken to ensure that a special quality is offered that stands out from the standard Italian. The personal highlight was the homemade bread. Where elsewhere white, dry or completely over-salted bread is often served, here there was lukewarm, crusty, aromatic mixed bread. A dream! Unfortunately, this cannot hide the precarious price situation. The most expensive dish was €99 and offered pasta with clams. There is no doubt that very expensive raw materials were used there. Paying €39 for six tortellini with eight slices of truffles is a bit steep. Anyone who goes here probably knows what the price structure is. The pasta was al dente, but the wild salmon was cooked past the point and the sauce was a bit too acidic and lemony. The truffle tortellini mentioned above was also al dente and filled with a vegetable farce. The truffle flavor was clearly recognizable and largely rounded. Conclusion: Even if the quality was special, unfortunately it won't be our regular Italian. We don't see the price-performance ratio as a given.
