The food is below par! Steaks were grossly overcooked, dry and tasteless. We came as a group of friends for a birthday dinner I arranged. I was utterly embarrassed. We ordered multiple steaks, requested a medium temperature and my friends did not end up eating them. The steaks were that bad. Dry and rubber-feeling non-edible steaks. What a waste.The appetizers were below the mediocre level. The sushi is just horrible! The sampler dish came with dry chewy beef skewers and cheap deep fry rolls. The pulled beef tacos lacked flavor.All in all, the food in this place barely meets the standards of a cheap takeout place. What a disgrace. If you appreciate quality food, this is by far not your place at all.Sadly, I must report that this is the worst (high end) kosher steakhouse in the city!I don't mind the prices, we are well accustomed to the NYC restaurant culture and the cost associated in operating them. But, if you want quality food, go elsewhere.The staff is courteous and pleasant, I must compliment on that but that's all they excel in, the service. They will excellently serve you below par tasteless rubbery steaks.And no, we did not feel comfortable to create a hassle with returning the steaks. It was too unpleasant and too late in the evening to deal with that and wait another 30-45 minutes for properly grilled steaks.What a shame, we had an awful experience there. My group and I (and our friends) would never return to the La Brochette Steakhouse.
