Great flavor in their food. Sides are too overpriced and not worth the money. I am most disappointed at their change of giving popcorn instead of the chips with sauce like a few months ago. For how expensive it is, they need to step up their game. Might not come back until further changes from the administration are done. The waitress was less than helpful and spoke so quietly we couldn't hear her. We asked for descriptions of the food and it was extremely unhelpful information. High prices. Never came back to check if we need anything. Plantain was overripe and overcooked mush. Meat had very little seasoning. If you want good Ecuadorian food and good service go to Chimborazo. We visited La Colonia restaurant for the first time today, and we loved it! It was close to the Strike Theater, where we were seeing a show. We visited on a Friday, around 6:00, and it wasn't super busy. My husband and I ordered a plate to share, as well as an appetizer. We first got the Empanadas de Carne, which were amazing! It came with a wonderful, spicy sauce! The texture was perfect, and they were served hot! We split an entree, the Lomito Saltado. Wow! Wow! Wow! It was so good! A great combination of ingredients and flavors! It entered our Clean Plate Club! The staff was super friendly and kind. We will visit again with family and friends!!
