Excellent restaurant and great service. We were scolded a little for being 10 minutes late which precluded us from getting the 5 course. Would have loved to try all 5 courses, but the ones we had were tasty. Wine pairing was on point and would highly recommend.

Absolutely flawless experience. Easily one of the best, if not the best, meals my wife and I ever had. We got the three-course tasting menu with a glass of wine paired with each course, which is really five courses because they also served a multi-item amouse-bouche along with appetizer, main course, and two dessert courses. Everything - the wine and food - was locally sourced, creatively prepared and totally awesome. Highlights were a beef tartare on a crispy cracker, salad with thinly sliced truffles, local trout with thin crisped bread on top instead of fish skin, steak with bacon layered on top and local wild mushrooms on the side, a unique cheese profiterole, a Slovenian dry red wine, a Czech sparkling wine, and a locally roasted coffee after dinner. The staff explained each drink and food item in detail, and table service overall was incredibly smooth and pleasant. The atmosphere was comfortable and stylish, with a really open kitchen where you could see each chef meticulously preparing each plate. Even the bathrooms were thoughtful. Our total bill was $250 (USD) for my wife and I, which was worth every penny. We’ve paid similar amounts or more per person with big groups of people at other restaurants and been half as impressed. (Even felt compelled to tip $20 - which we think is a good tip in Prague? - because we’re Americans and apparently can’t resist.) Can’t recommend it highly enough, and if/when we come back to Prague this will be a must-see again.

A gustatory adventure! 8 courses not including special treats from the chef, each course unique and filled with beautiful flavors. A myriad of techniques, a broad spectrum of tastes, beautifully plated presentation, and an incredible culinary and house staff made our evening at La Degustation one of my favorite dinning experiences to date. Egg yoke and dill was probably my favorite dish because of the incredible balanced and play of flavors and mouthfeel this dish encompassed but it is so hard to pick a true favorite. I was completely surprised by the fermented potato bread, which left my mouth watering for more. I also was blown away by the beef tartar, which had just the right balance of ingredients that truly accentuated the quality and flavor of the beef. I have not had such a good beef tartar in a long time. The portion was small which was just right to leave you wanting more. I, in fact, found myself in great anticipation throughout the entire night, excited to see what the next course would bring. We were incredibly lucky to be seated next to the kitchen during our meal, which is a beautiful open space that makes you want to get up and start cooking. We were treated to watching the culinary team craft incredible dishes for their guest with a level of skill, care, and attention that I can only describe as pure artistry. I have to give my deepest compliments to Chef Sahajdák and the entire team. Such a beautiful play and fusion of Czech cuisine has been created here. I believe without question a second star is soon to be on its way to La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise.
