Don't expect luxury at La Gaffe. The whole house is old, winding and not barrier-free, the rooms are small and it was relatively loud in our room facing the street. But this is made very transparent in advance and you know (if you have read the information) what you are getting yourself into. Overall we felt very comfortable here. The staff is very friendly and the small breakfast buffet is sufficient. Our room was clean except for some dust and a few cobwebs on the ceiling and the bathroom was also in good condition. La Gaffe is particularly great for city trips due to its direct proximity to the “Hampstead” tube station. The Northern Line takes you to the center of London in no time. It was a shame that the restaurant wasn't open, but it wasn't a big deal as Hampstead really still offers plenty of other great options for dinner. We would come back! Great condition and great value room in a really leafy area of London! The owner is super friendly and made a lot of effort to get to know you as a guest. The included breakfast was really nice too. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Great value
