Passing by El Parque de las Palapas, visit this bar. Visit this place and discover Caribbean and Mexican cuisines. You can always enjoy perfectly cooked green soup, lobster tail and juane at La Habichuela. Try good chocolate custard, ice cream and flans. This place is famous for delicious tequila, margaritas or Spanish wine. Great mexican coffee, americano or chocolate frappe will make your meal better and you'll surely come back.

A cozy place with a beautiful interior is all you need for a holiday with your family. The professional waitstaff meets you at this place all year round. The fabulous service is something these restaurateurs care about. You are to be pleasantly impressed with low prices at this spot. Frommer's experts have rated this bar 2 stars, certainly, it's worth a visit.

We’ve been to this restaurant since the mid to late 90’s and again has not disappointed. My wife and I came to celebrate my 60th birthday and had a nice time and great dinner. Our server Muse was very attentive and friendly as was the host/maitre d’ (did not get his name) was fantastic and helpful, we never feel rushed when we come here, it’s quite and you can talk. They have an outdoor garden area or dine inside. The restaurant is downtown and away from the hotel zone(15-25 min)and tourists, taxi best way to get to and from. If you’re looking to get away from resort food we recommend. We come here as one of our favorite restaurants.

One of the the best dining experiences we had during our trip. At the same time prices are modest. Highly recommend

A part of Cancún's culinary landscape for four decades Restaurante La Habichuela prides itself on fine Mexican and Caribbean Cuisine plus professional service, lunch on a Sunday finding the place nearly empty and stifling as a lone window air-conditioner struggled to keep up with June heat. At one time also part of the Hotel Zone, that location since shuttered and leaving behind only the downtown original, it is beginning at 12:30 that guests are offered a choice of indoor or outdoor seating, the latter un-shaded on wrought-iron chairs in a central garden. Revered for Seafood, mostly caught by local Fishermen and offered at premium prices, it is while decisions are made that Bread is offered, a fluffy crumb with Garlic enjoyable even without Butter while a soundtrack of 80s power ballads plays overhead. Mostly classic in terms of style, occasional Mayan influences found amongst Proteins prepared in varying ways, Appetizers consisted of fresh Shrimp served in proper Cocktail form alongside a Crepe loaded with Cheese and Corn Smut beneath a blanket of silky Hollandaise. Inspired by the famous haciendas of Yucatan, and slow in terms of pace, it was with a fan pointing directly at the table that Entrees were presented 60 minutes after seating, a grilled Lobster Tail exactly what one would expect next to Rice and Vegetables while "The Famous Cocobichuela" earns its signature status thanks to a lot of Seafood and aromatic Curry begging to be scooped from a Coconut.
