I just finished eating and I had to write a review immediately. The staff are kind and the place is so cute. The food is AMAZING. I'm just visiting Madrid, but this is one of the best meals I've had ever and I'm so sad to not have access to this at home. I just found this place randomly on Google maps and am so happy I did. We ordered food and then we ordered more food. Two of us got maklouba, Balkan shakshuka, hummus with green tahini, the traditional bread, kataifi, and basboussa. Yes it was a lot of food, yes we ate all of it. The dishes have a different spin than what I'm familiar with but in a good way. I had to close my eyes while eating the basboussa to process this mix of flavors and textures. 10/10 would recommend. I'm not vegetarian but the restaurant is vegetarian. La Hummuseria is a fantastic spot in Madrid for anyone who loves hummus. We tried a couple of different varieties and each one was fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. The presentation was beautiful, and the portions were just right for sharing. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a light, flavorful meal.
