While visiting Madrid I came across La Pepa Maluca a newly bar/cafe located very close to Plaza España. I was impressed by the cleanliness and the relaxing unwinding atmosphere that you need after a long day walking the streets of Madrid. So lets begin; we were greeted by Anais the very pleasant owner of La Pepa Maluca that will greet everyone with a lovely smile. Let's talk about the goods: the beer they serve is traditional Spanish beer like Mahou, Estrella de Galicia, among others. Beer is served very cold either on a glass or bottle, if you order draft Estrella de Galicia you will see that is being poured from a beautiful Sargadelos Gallego beer pump. The selection of wine and knowledge of the staff will make you walk out of there like a great Spanish wine connoisseur. The tapas are delicious and they vary every day. Now here is the deal! You get one free tapa with the purchase of a caña (beer) or wine, is a win win situation. So after that lovely local feeling experience, we were ready to walk to our hotel and call it the night. I highly recommend this place!
