The food is just normal. The price is not exactly high but if you consider the ratio of quality and price then it's pretty pricy. The cover (bread) is worse than what we got in the supermarket. The spaghetti is good but that's the average quality in Italy. The meat plate is just okay. The decoration might be the most special thing for La Talpa. But if you are already here, I believe you have taken tons of the photos with "Matera" style architecture. Actually, my girl friend and I stayed in Matera for two nights. We tried this restaurant and the other one near by. The other one is definitely better. We could have decided to have dinner in the other restaurant for two dinners, but eventually we decided to try La Talpa just because we wanted have different experience in Matera. I was REALLY regret for our choice and deciding to dine in here in La Talpa. Please consider other restaurant around with Google rating higher than 4.2. It's absolutely a good index. Btw, this is first post that I posted on google review, so you may think of how disappointed I was.
