Stopped for coffee and donut. Fun little place.
Nice, cosy place with good food.
A wonderful restaurant in a beautiful old building with friendly and helpful staff. The food was the best we had in Iceland and the wine, the cheapest French wine on the menu, was excellent. I mention cost because to someone coming from the UK, the cost of much in Iceland is eye-watering. However, as a rule of thumb, if you want the best Geothermal engineers in the world, you come to Iceland and if you want the best wine you look to France; something the resourceful Icelanders can't manage yet.As far as the food we had at Lækjarbrekka; all their food was of the highest quality and apart from the rather speedy arrival of the main course, some cleverly prepared Ling, the experience was wonderful. I should add that at no time did we feel rushed; I just like to savour one course before the next arrives. If you are staying in Reykjavík and want beautifully prepared and very tasty Icelandic dishes do try Laekjarbrekka.
