Unfortunately I can't find any good words for the hotel. After an initial positive impression, we were quickly proven wrong. Starting with the staff, who apparently didn't have a cheerful Franconian nature. Unfortunately the room was also disappointing. The beds were very hard so that you had massive back pain after just one night. The pillows were so soft that you sank in immediately. A second pillow was not brought to our room after we requested it. The bathroom wasn't clean. You could still see the streaks behind the toilet and on the toilet seat. Hair from strangers could also be seen in a corner. There were no toiletries but there were 2 shower caps. The third bed consisted of a converted armchair and was about 60cm narrow even though there was a huge fold-out sofa bed in the room. Probably too complicated to set up. The minibar was unstocked so that at night you have to use a machine that is in the main entrance like in the train station. The elevator was also deactivated in the evening. We waited a good 5 minutes before taking the difficult route up the stairs. You'll be happy when you have to walk over the teepee again in your pajamas. We both had injuries from a hiking accident. Breakfast was already well chosen at 9 a.m. Unfortunately the scrambled eggs were from the tetra pack. When asked there was no fresh one. The fruit salad was just a mushy affair and nothing was removed in the entire area. It looked like a youth hostel. The entire display was not very appealing for the prices that were advertised here. The ladies who took care of the breakfast fiasco were just as warm as the lady at the reception. We were consistently disappointed and recommend that anyone who has to stop in Geiselwind rent a room in one of the nice inns in town. Here the service was as friendly and customer-oriented as one is used to in Franconia. Never again Landhotel Geiselwind. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1
