Wanted to get local street food and this came up in our Google result. Small place, with around 10 tables & quite clean. Was ok for comfort food with average service. A little busy on a Saturday around 10am. Got a table easily and didn’t have to wait long for the food. Ordered the pork slice congee - thick texture and tender pork. Deep fried wonton - taste wise ok, but plenty of oil. Fried dough - taste wise ok, unfortunately was cold. No Chinese tea available. Only accepted cash Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: HK$50–100 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Do you prefer Deep Fried Shrimp Dumplings more than Deep Fried Wontons? I certainly do! Deep Fried Shrimp Dumplings are more plump and meatier.. Juicier, with different textures and flavours through additional ingredients which could include black fungus, bamboo shoots or water chestnuts.. But, finding an eatery in Hong Kong that had Deep Fried Shrimp Dumplings has been rare “Law Fu Kee” in Central, is right around the neighbourhood where Tony Leung’s police man character used to live in Wong Kar-Wai’s movie “Chungking Express”.. This shop has been around since the 1950s, known for its congee, deep fried dace fish balls and wonton noodles. But for me, it’s their Deep Fried Shrimp Dumplings that are to die for! .. The other unique specialty for me here is the handmade face fish balls, which you can pair with noodle soup.. However, I wouldn’t recommend their beef brisket - the meat’s on the chewy side and there are plenty of better options for this in that area check ‘em out!
