Very bad experience the last time we went there with friends. It took at least twenty minutes before the waiter came to us to order our coffees. So far, nothing dramatic. After several minutes we ordered our meals and when they arrived, there was a mistake with my plate. No problem I ask for the missing egg on the side, but I don't get the right cooking. It doesn't matter, it happens. Where it gets tricky is when paying our bills. The waiter accidentally had our bills paid at the table next to us. He suggested that one person from our table pay the bill for the neighboring table in order to be able to close their table and reimburse us for the difference (?). This doesn't work since we want to pay for our receipts individually. He then tells us that he has to check with his manager, but that it will take a long time. It took at least forty minutes. There was practically just our table left in the restaurant... When we asked for a follow-up, the waiter told us that it was not his fault and that he had offered a quick solution and that we refused... How do server errors become our responsibility? In short, I was a regular customer and that took away my desire to return there. Additionally, my friend sent two emails to management and no response, very ordinary.

The food is quite well prepared, and Cochon Dingue turned out to serve the best breakfast we had on Rue St-Jean. And the service is friendly and efficient. A nice variety of Canadian breakfast staples with a few with a québécois twist like the plat Charlevoix and its use of raclette in the eggs. The ambiance is modern but pleasant, definitely with the feel of a chain restaurant (which it is) but in a good way.
