We went for dinner at 6pm , were welcomed in and the menus explained. We chose the standard menu with wine and non-alcoholic pairings and cheese. Bread and special butters started us off. I kept some of mine for the sauces later. There followed an amuse bouche then the mini hand towels. The sommelier got us started with our first drinks and everything was explained as we went along, with various team members taking it in turn to do the serving. The langoustine dish is the signature dish and it is the best. We then had a load shedding event, but that didn't stop the food, just the coffee. The atmosphere improved in the darker restaurant. The non-alcoholic pairing was rather basic unfortunately but the food superb. The cheese course took us by surprise when we were given a large spoon. It was a cooked cheese dish and delightful too. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: R 500+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Cheese Course
