Beautiful and very nice people and delicious food
Wonderful breakfast delicious baked items!
Super kid friendly. Will have another visit!
More like 3 1/2 stars. Judging from the reviews Le French Cafe seems popular; so its fans will be excited to know that this breakfast and lunch spot now serves dinner Thursday-Saturday until 8pm. I went with a few friends recently and the food was good, the staff friendly and welcoming (although could be more attentive), the atmosphere cheerful and relaxed.   We had a pleasant dinner but I am surprised at the high prices. My duck confit salad, was yummy and the portion very generous but not exactly a bargain at $24.  Dessert, a Paris-Brest was $12 (that's $15 when you add tax and tip!).  That pastry was good but was it worth the price?  I don't think so even if I love the idea that I can get a French pastry in Boulder, I've had much better in France (for a third of the price). It's also interesting to note that this dessert was not made onsite, but by La Belle French bakery based in Denver; it might taste better when totally fresh.   I had a nice enough dinner in a pleasant atmosphere, but my bill came to $60 (including tax and 20% tip) for a 1/2 bottle of cider, a yummy salad and an okay dessert. Quite high for a casual bistro.
