As someone with a heavy French background, I always look forward to exploring bakery shops in my travels. Parfait Paris hit the spot. Certainly, some offerings are adapted to local tastes, but the pastries, in particular, are of very good quality, and the croissants above average. Definitely a good option for breakfast/lunch in the Gaslamp District. If you’re looking for a boutique pastry shop heavily invested in the artisanry of a patisserie/boulangerie or a place to transport you to France, I can see how you could leave slightly disappointed. But, for a chain bakery looking to appeal to wider audiences, I really do think Parfait Paris does a very solid job. Recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
