Ate here for my Bday last September.   Best dining experience I've been treated to,  as special as it could have been.   Couple next to us were there on their honeymoon,  which is what a place like this felt like.   I'm writing this 3 months later... and still remember it clearly, place leaves a lasting impression. ... made a reservation a couple hours earlier.   Highly recommended. Place is tiny. Had to move neighbor's table so we could sit.  We ordered 5 dishes,  i had raspberry duck and she had shrimp pesto.  Food?  Beautifully delicious.   Service?  Saskia was our waitress.   She was great, and made sure the dining experience was perfect.  What a wonderful person, and great representative for a business. Thanks, Saskia. Will definitely be back anytime in Paris.
Enjoyable food in a comfortable snug environment not too far from the Sacre Couer. Reasonably priced food for reasonable sized portions. Had the Duck with gratin and Crème Brulee.
We stayed in Paris for one night on a layover. After taking a three-hour nap, all we wanted was to find a cozy, authentic restaurant to hole up in for awhile. Our plan was to eat an authentic dinner, drink wine, and recuperate. I hit Yelp to see what our options were, and Le Potager du Pere Thierry appeared to check all the boxes. We caught an Uber, and it dropped us off right where the restaurant was supposed to be. "Where is the restaurant?" I asked. Our driver answered, "I don't know, it must be around here somewhere." We got out of the car and looked around. Nope, no restaurant. The Uber drove away, and I stood ther, scratching my head, until I realized that the restaurant was right there in front of me, hiding under one small span of scaffolding. The place is small. Really small. There must be only six tables in total, even when they split them up to the best of their ability. But size doesn't matter when you're in Europe. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly, and the flavors were all simple but satisfying. In short, this is the perfect place to eat if you're goal is to relax. No over-achieving here: just an honest meal in a little place at the foot of a big hill that's been a tourist trap for centuries.
