My favorite buffet style/banquet style place in New Orleans.  This is one of my big 5 Authentic Creole joints in the city. I have been eating here for years and while the customer service may not be the best the food is amazing! I think the fried chicken and gumbo are the two best items on the menu, and they quite possibly may have the top 10 best fried chicken in New Orleans. Also cool?  Seeing local celebrities there pigging out in arms length.
Finally made it. I've made a few attempts to eat here, but always gave up because of the wait time. If you go on the weekend, be prepared  to wait, especially if you go after 10. The food is well worth it. The French bread French toast, so... good.  You can smell the fried chicken outside and the gumbo was great.  Everything was delicious. Don't go if you are too sensitive because Mr. Wayne keeps things moving and you might hear the waitresses cuss, but in a friendly southern way. Service is good and everyone is friendly. You should definitely go.
The food and service were great and prices were fair. I had the fried chicken, which was excellent. Get it with the red beans and rice. In addition, the extra $0.75 for corn bread was definitely worth it.
