Perfect Food. Perfect Food. Yummy Perfect Food.
Spend your money elsewhere.  I made a lunch reservation for me and my husband to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary.  We don't go out to eat at all because of Covid, but we wanted to celebrate and to do so safely with outdoor dining.  The woman who took my reservation assured me I could reserve a table on the patio, in the shade.  When we show up on time, they place us at a table on the sidewalk, with no shade.  We ask for our promised table on the patio, in the shade.  There are many empty tables available.  The manager told us that there are only reservation for "outside" and that you can't specify patio dining.  So why couldn't he give me one of the many available patio tables?  Explaining that we were trying to celebrate a special occasion fell on deaf ears, with no apology.  They tried to move us inside, but no thanks as indoor dining is much riskier.  We don't have the right Nola "high society" last name, which is probably why we did not get preferential or even DECENT treatment.  We left and had a great experience at Cavan instead.
A thoroughly lovely evening g at Lilette, starting with enthusiastic greeting and seating at reserved table outdoors.  The wine steward was out, but our waiter was knowledgeable.  He suggested a wine but we chose another, out of curiosity as to what a Slovenian wine Might be Like.  We later Took up his suggestion, and it was delicious and Less costly. For appetizers we had the paparadelle, a kale salad and xxxx.  The pasta was homemade of course, and in a broth that was so delicious I could have ordered another.  For entrees, we had the vegan dinner, the duck breast and the chicken.  The 3 of us were satisfied on all counts - taste, appearance, flavor, texture and portion size.  The duck was served with a delicious sauce. we also had the coffee semi fresh and a sorbet for dessert.  The sorbet flavor was interesting.  The waiter chose a Madeira for an after dinner finish.  The service was excellent throughout.  The restaurant is quite clean.  It was a delight to enjoy all this outdoors.  I wish I could come here for dinner every day.  The wine list is extensive and interesting with much variety.
