The duck breast, while flavorful was a bit under cooked right in the center. Some pieces of the breast tasted amazing while I found myself chewing but spitting the center part out. The toughness of the center part didn't make it the best experience in dining. However, my friends who got the pesto shrimp dish and the ragu pasta very much enjoyed their dishes. The cocktails were great too!

The ambience of the place is great but the space can be a bit cramped. Walk ins are tough so you're much better off trying to get a reservation. In terms of the food, the highlights for me were really the cauliflower (my favorite) and the mozzarella (fresh and delicious) to start. For a main I had the potato gnocchi which wasn't spectacular as it was a bit drier than I would have liked but the flavors were great and the added texture from the pine nuts really made it stand out. I also ordered a negroni with dinner which was perfect and I highly recommend it. While the service was sufficient, there was some confusion around who was our actual waiter/waitress as there were multiple people coming and going, but not much consistency. Getting someone's attention was also a bit difficult. But overall the service was fine. In the end I think the food and the atmosphere was great and would bring me back. But I don't think this would ever be a regular Italian spot for me...
The quaintest little authentic Tuscan spot in Clinton Hill. I'm lucky enough to live down the street and every time I'm in there I'm more and more pleased. The food is delicious and the wine is great. The wait staff is friendly and very helpful. I always get the anchovies and butter, loved the chicken liver risotto, guitar strings are classic. Always save room for one of their ugly cookies, heaven!!
