The New Zealand cuisine is nice at this restaurant. Many reviewers suppose that you can have tasty soup, seafood and sandwiches here. Cooks at Cafe 88 do their best to provide guests with good apple strudels, Scones and pancakes. A lot of visitors order great coffee or delicious tea.
The homely atmosphere of this place allows visitors to relax after a hard working day. The staff is energetic that's what makes this spot so good. People say that the service is fine here. A number of people highlight that prices are affordable for what you get. The terrific decor is worth seeing with your own eyes. This restaurant scored 4.1 in the Google rating system.

I have had a not very good experiene at Cafe 88. I ordered chips to go with a vegetable quich. but was told that they would be 30 minutes. The quich lacked any seasoning, no cutlery on the table and had to go in side find it. Service: Dine in

If you like soggy, cold food then by all means go there. Ordered breakfasts for 2. Both came out cold & took nearly an hour as something about the grills not working / power etc. Mine has a good tablespoon of water running from the poached eggs not being drained through all the rest of the dish so wet over cooked bacon and soggy hash browns topped off with cold toast. I’ve travelled all over NZ and eaten in lots of places and this has to be one of the worst. Don’t waste your money.
