Wow, idk why more people aren't getting the Especial which is a fried taco type thing. The only thing it compares to is the perfect empanada/taco. We got the one with the Abodado meat (pork). The carne asada taco was really good too!
I stopped here because I've been brainwashed by all the photos on Instagram.  I had a big lunch shortly before I stopped, so I just had the one taco and I am still regretting it!  I ordered a carne asada on corn with all the toppings (del todo I think?) and it was insanely good.  Like, even sitting here writing this review weeks later I can remember how good it was!  You order and pay (there is a credit card minimum) at one place and receive a ticket, move down the line, and then after waiting behind a blob of people who were doing nothing I finally elbowed my way to the counter (I'm not sure if this is proper procedure), but then you hand your ticket to a guy who asks you how you want your tacos and he makes them.  All in all it was super quick despite the crowd and my confusion.  Like I said, I don't know if I did it correctly but it definitely felt right.  There are no tables per say, but there are some eating areas out in the hallway.  Since I just had the one taco I stood at a little counter and inhaled it in all of it's amazing glory.  Definitely stop in here if you like tacos, and make sure to come hungry because once you taste a taco, you're going to want another one!
Review from a Californian - because trust, people in NY don't know what a good taco taste like. Okay, honestly, this would be more of a 3 stars in SF, but hey, on the east coast, good tacos are hard to come by. This is the best I have had since moving here. They have fresh adobada (marinated pork) spinning on the rotisserie which I love. I didn't even bother to try the other meats. They are decently priced at $3.75 a taco. The ordering system is weird. You place your order at the cashier and then hand the receipt to one of the cooks. There's no line so people are just gathered around them. The salsa bar and other condiments are on the same area where you wait for the food. It's not an efficient system at all. There's also no tables to eat your taco so you might have to walk around and eat it on a bench. My tacos were got a little cold when I finally found a place to eat. Welps. My tacos, although warm, were pretty bomb. The meat was flavorful and the salsa was on point. Their horchata is also pretty bomb too. If you are craving some legit tacos, Los Tacos No.1 is the place to go.
