The food is decent but we left with a bad taste after listening to the racist bartender on the deck. If Louie's wants to be a classy establishment, this certainly didn't help. Not going back.
This restaurant was a Victorian home, owned by Louie Signorelli, which transformed into a casual, romantic place with oceanfront views ~45 years ago. I am not sure about the parking situation, as this restaurant was a close 5-minute walk from my stay. I noticed a party or two taking Uber/Lyft. The hostess is immediately after the outdoor stairs. There is a main dining room behind the hostess with ~10 tables. There are about another ~15 tables in the backyard, which I would recommend to dine during the day and/or sunset. I'm not a fan of mosquitoes. My friend called for reservations about 1 week prior, and we were given 1 available time because the other days and times were "fully booked." However, the restaurant was full about 25% inside with all tables filled outside, throughout our dining experience. FOOD: Cracked Conch with Hot Pepper Jelly and Wasabi Cream (3/5): The sauces tasted like sweet and sour sauce with a sprinkle of ranch honestly. I did not taste the hot peppers or wasabi. It was my first time trying fried "conk"... most similar to fried calamari. Just OK. Salad of Young Greens with Hearts of Palm and Creamy Feta Cheese Dressing (3/5): This was kind of a let down. I individually love the ingredients in this salad, but something still felt missing. I devoured all the tiny bell pepper pieces though. This was split between 2 people. Swiss Chard-Wrapped King Salmon with Curried Quinoa and Mint Raita (5/5): Oh man... packed with full flavors. This dish can either be a hit or miss, depending on what you prefer. For me, I'd pick full flavors over a bland dish any day. The oven-baked salmon with Swiss chard is a great extra veggie boost. It was cooked perfectly medium with pieces of thinly-sliced almonds at the top. This was over a bed of vinegar-flavored quinoa with yogurt-mint sauce scattered throughout. I'd eat pieces here and there, separating the distinct flavors. Chocolate Brownie Creme Brûlée (4/5): The word brownie should be altered to chocolate fudge in Louie's dessert menu. It's creme brûlée with 1 cm. of fudge at the bottom (2:1 cm. ratio). My friend devoured this though. Everything was not too sweet, which I liked. Our server was awesome. She made us feel right at home. No complaints. Water never touched bottom. Would I come back? Yea! Check Afterdeck bar after dinner.
Ridiculously amazing food, amazing service, and beautifully romantic setting.  A must "eat" in the Keys every time we are there.  Make reservations.  Very worth it. Inventive, upscale menu. The inside dining room is beautiful, but sitting outside, right on the water, can't be beat.  Shrimp and grits is delicious!
