Incredible food, flavours, wine and perfect venue for a night out with friends - not too noisy so easy to chat. Very attentive service, we've been back many times and always great food - tonight we loved the haloumi, trio of dips and slow cooked lamb. Tucked away discreetly, this hole in the wall Middle Eastern restaurant, surprised us on a calm Thursday evening. The interior showcased a rustic charm, with exposed brick walls, and a bold red feature wall at the rear. While a bit understaffed with only one waiter at the front, our primary focus remained on the food. The dishes, blending Lebanese and Moroccan influences, delivered robust flavors. The celebrated lamb shoulder, a delightful symphony of sweet tones, found a perfect companion in the saffron rice which absorbed the rich sauces seamlessly. Upon the arrival of dessert, the beautifully presented knafeh leaned toward excessive sweetness for my taste, lacking the desired texture. It paled in comparison to the Bearded Bakers' knafeh which is famous for its crunchy pistachio infused crust, stretchy filling and balanced flavours. My sweet-toothed husband, however, revelled in dessert heaven, polishing off the majority of our 'shared' dessert. The damage was $130 for 2, sharing a salad, 2 mains, rice and dessert. Whilst I have my reservations about the simplicity of the decor, limited service, and portion size relative to the price point, my husband swiftly declared Maestro & Co his favorite from our 4-day Manly foodie expedition, earning the restaurant extra points in his culinary rankings. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$60–80 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Sweet Lamb Shoulder, Roasted Cauliflower Salad
