Fresh and home made food. Great atmosphere and interior!
Eco food cafe. The quality is very nice, but the choice for meat-eater might be limited
Visited Mahedik for lunch. There were 4 of us. The restaurant was rather busy, but definitely not full. We were given menus and nothing was mentioned about the waiting times. We ordered 2 fish dishes and 2 naked lamb burgers. After 40 minutes of waiting the food finally arrived. Fish was served with plain cooked quinoa with no vegetables nor sauces. It looked very plain and was lacking taste. After waiting for so long, we would have expected something more creative, it was just simply boring. The naked lamb burger was served with a junk of sweet potato, which was only half cooked and was hard to cut with the knife. As neither of the sweet potatoes weren’t edible, we sent them back, so that they could cook them a bit longer. After waiting for another 20 minutes, our food finally arrived. They served us the same food they did earlier, and when the waiter arrived with the plates, he asked which plate belongs to whom? Like what? Was it really so difficult for the kitchen to serve the food on a clean plate? And ironically the sweet potato was still hard! We only managed to eat half of it as the rest was completely undercooked. The lamb burger itself was really dry and was also lacking seasoning. The sauces/pestos beside the burger were nice though and helped us to get the lamb down. We all finished our food as we were really hungry after waiting for an hour by that time! If I wait for an hour, I definitely expect more than what we got.But our visit to Mahedik doesn't end here. We decided to call the manager to give her our feedback about our experience and ask if they could somehow make it up for us. Though I honestly think it's not our duty to ask for it, the staff should have noticed it by themselves. We waited another 20 mins and asked again for the manager. Our waiter then said, that the manager is too busy to come to talk to us. We simply couldn't believe our ears. You have guests waiting in the restaurants and you dare to say that you are too busy to talk to them!? Then one of us decided to go with the waiter and wait for the manager behind the counter. Finally she decided to come out. Her attitude was very unpleasant and she really didn't understand what has gone wrong. If we asked, how could they make it up for us, she only answered: But you finished your food! Yes we did, because we were so hungry! I could have eaten cardboard too by that time. But I don't agree paying 15 euros for food which is tasteless and half cooked. Finally the manager said she could give us a 10% discount! Are you kidding me? This was just lame. The restaurant could have turned the situation around by apologising and giving us free desserts or at least 50% discount. But 10%, really? This clearly shows that Mahedik does not care about their customers, but only about the money. The manager clearly thinks that 52 euros what we paid was worth losing 4 clients forever and probably all our friends too, considering that 2 guests were locals from Pärnu.
