Food was alright... The gentleman taking our order messed up the order and then ignored us the rest of the time we were there. Never brought us our check or asked for refills no anything. Then during the check out he was rude af!  Probably the worst customer service....
Brody ..
The "Jim's crispy hash" is dumped straight out of a can and is vile. Maybe someone named Jim opened the can? Vaguely adequate otherwise and there's not many options in half moon bay, but not really worth it. Lower your expectations and you'll be fine. There's outdoor seating at least for the pandemic!

I was here years ago when this corner diner was Original Johnny's and remember wolfing down waffles and sausage like I was a carb-crazed truck driver (review: ). Then the Main Street Grill moved in from down the street and I didn't come back until recently when I was strolling on Main Street. They looked like they we're getting ready to close at about 1:30PM, but I decided to give it a try. Funny thing was that it didn't look all that different since the switch in ownership except for all the vintage movie and music memorabilia on the walls. I actually didn't see waffles on the menu, but there were lots of breakfast options and certainly plenty of burgers and sandwiches. However, my eyes zeroed in on the salads, and I settled on the $13 Greek Salad with feta, tomato slices, artichoke hearts, and olives (photo: ). I was pleasantly surprised how freshly delicious it was, especially with the vinaigrette on the side. I decided to add a $2.50 cup of Fresh Fruit which was overflowing with strawberries, raspberries, and orange slices (photo: ). I'm guessing I benefited from the excess fruit they must have had at closing. FOOD - 4 stars...surprisingly fresh salad and fruit here AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...still feels like a greasy spoon albeit a cleaner one SERVICE - 3 stars...more on the transactional side TOTAL - 4 stars...I can eat healthy at a greasy spoon, who da thunk?
