We have stayed quite a few times at Malmaison Birmingham now, most recently 14/5/23. We we're lucky enough to get a junior suite this time, the room was wonderful, a really spacious lounge and bedroom. Superbly comfortable bed and a great powerful shower. The room was on the 7th floor and very quiet at night. We had a drink in the bar and the barman had a menu of cocktails but said if we wanted one not on the menu he could probably make it, we didn't test him and went for one off the menu, service was great with the drinks being brought to our table. We decided to see if we could have dinner at the hotel and the barman checked and arranged a table for us. The restaurant was reasonably busy (Sunday night) there was a 'Couples steak / wine' offer on the menu which seemed pretty good value. The food was excellent, the highlight being the starter to share, lots of picky food and plenty of it. Both steaks were great, a fillet and a rump and a very nice cheese slate (which we shared] to finish. We we're very well looked after by Sonny who made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Breakfast was excellent as usual, my partner had an early start, so I had breakfast solo, again the breakfast staff we're really cheerful and efficient. Overall, a brilliant stay, all the staff we interacted with we're bright, cheerful and efficient, lovely room and food, looking forward to our next visit. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
