Wonderful comfort food. Each dish is rich and flavorful.
The fried garlic bread, stuffed cabbage and goulash were very good. Will go back to try a few more items. Excellent service!
Another five star visit to Mama Papa Lithuania Restaurant.  This is the ONLY Lithuanian restaurant on the West Coast, and one of only a few in the United States, but after eating here, you'll wonder why Lithuanian restaurants aren't as common as Starbucks. Today - a cold rainy, late fall afternoon - my wife and I came in for lunch seeking warm, filling, and delicious food.  The Lithuanian-Style chicken goulash delivered the goods.   With perfectly cooked pieces of chicken and potato in a thick sauce of pureed tomatoes and vegetables, this goulash is given a subtle bit of heat with the addition of a touch of paprika and other spices.  This goulash is a comfort food you won't regret ordering. A green cabbage salad came as a side dish. We ended the meal splitting an order of the dessert crepes, thin crepes filled with lightly cinnamon flavored cottage cheese, and topped with mashed berries and sugar.  The crepes and berries had just the right balance of tart and sweet, and were the perfect ending for the meal.   I also had an "Extra" lager, a Lithuanian beer of high quality - flavorful and interesting. Other than a short wait after we were seated, service was fast, with our very pleasant server efficiently handling the surprisingly large post-Thanksgiving lunch crowd. We have now been to Mama Papa Lithuania at least a half dozen times, and tried about half the items on the menu (chicken cutlets, potato pancakes, goulash, crepes, etc.).    While the goulash has moved to the top of my list of favorites, all of the other dishes have been worth checking out.  If you like meat, potatoes, potato pancakes or dumplings, you'll love Mama Papa Lithuania. One thing to be aware of - this restaurant has the heaviest chairs outside of Hogwarts.  Game of Thrones type chairs.  Heavy, heavy, thick wooden chairs. Great food though!
