This is not the Mannings I knew as a child . And certainly not what my Nan and Mam would have known. I went in this evening at 4:40 , doors open and customers finishing of there food . I went in for a birthday cake (any cake that I could see and takeaway) I said to the lady behind the counter that I’ll have that large slice of cake and she replied that they are closed. I looked around to see people still eating and said , I’ll buy it and go ! She said she was too busy cleaning up . There was 3 employees behind the counter. So I said , It’s a birthday cake (Adult) and I won’t get one this late anywhere else, so could one of you please give me that slice , I’ll pay and I’ll be gone . Completely ignored by all three . I actually told her it was for a child so she might give it to me but no . 1 of the staff agreed to serve me and was about to put it in a box when 4 people walked in and asked for something. We were all asked to leave and my cake was put back on the shelf while customers were still eating ! If you’re closing time is 4:30 Lock your bloody doors ! No Empathy ! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Hi Alan, Sorry to hear you weren't happy. We close (stop serving)at 16.30 Monday to Thursday. We don't kiclk people out but allow them to finish their food at their leisure. However, the staff are instructed to serve take away cakes for occasions, i.e birthday cakes so that people aren't left stuck. I am not sure why this happened but I will speak to staff. I am guessing that it was because it was a slice of cake as opposed to a Birthday cake. Thank you for the feedback, we will address. Kind Regards, Management

This past Tuesday, August 22, I decided to order a Mannings chocolate treat to say goodbye to my co-workers, since Wednesday the 23rd was my last day. Delicious 12´´ chocolate cake. They delivered it to me around 10.00am. All perfect. Very grateful to the services of Mannings Bakery.
