This restaurant offers you nice food and a place to rest after a long walk around Museum of Arts and Design. Italian cuisine under the direction of the talented chef is great at this place. Many people visit Marea to taste mouthwatering braised octopus, crab pasta and creamy burrata. Do not leave without tasting good tiramisu, chocolate cakes and gelato. This place will offer you delicious desert wine, white wine or amaretto. It is nice to try great iced espresso, lemonade or cappuccino.

Invite your soulmate to this spot with a wonderful atmosphere. The cool staff at this restaurant can demonstrate how much they like their customers. The fabulous service is something these restaurateurs care about. Prices are found attractive here. Guests appreciate the chance to enjoy the decor which is divine. It's a Michelin one-star restaurant, the award is usually given for serving delicious food.

Great for a night out when you want to treat yourself, a little pricey buy the food is very tasty and my server Richele was very knowledgeable and attractive.

Visited another place on my must-try list in NYC for my gf's birthday, and I had mixed feelings. First, this is hands down the best outdoor dining experience as the restaurant has created a flower oasis around the scaffolding outside the building. It feels magical and I wouldn't have it any other way. To jump to the chase, we started off with cocktails, Watermelon Basil Marg and the Tropical Tiki Punch. Both were good, but I would get the Tiki Punch again. When you go to Marea, you have to try the staples. So, we ordered a slew of items including: Grilled Octopus, Fusilli, Dentice, and Tagliata. The Octopus was nicely grilled with a tangy sauce to accompany it. The Fusilli comes in 2 sizes and (I opted for the larger portion) it was good, but not great. It's a hearty dish with generous amounts of octopus, but pricey for what it is. The bone marrow is gimmicky and the sauce could have used some depth. It was memorable, but not worth getting again. On to the entrees! I didn't try the Dentice (Snapper with tomatoes, peppers, and garlic aioli) but my gf loved it so much she finished before me (and I'm a fast eater myself). The Tagliata (Sirloin, with romaine and bone marrow panzanella) had the potential to be better. The steak was burnt, not charred, and left a bitter aftertaste. The romaine was grilled but sopping in the juices from the steak, which was also burnt. What I loved though, was the "crouton" it came with. It tasted like thanksgiving. I could eat a million of those. We were so full we couldn't have dessert, but we were kindly served cookies to celebrate the special occasion. Nice gesture, but they were pretty much chips ahoy with double the chocolate. To close this out, I must say the staff was very nice and attentive. The host was so welcoming and our server was there whenever we needed him. When you go to a 2 Michelin starred restaurant, you have the expectation that you will be "Wowed" by something. Whether it be the food, the drinks, the experience, or even the nice restrooms, you expect something to be over the top. While Marea was nice, it didn't meet the mark. This place is a must if you're in NYC but I wouldn't go with the expectation of being blown away.
