Enjoy San Mateo County History Museum by default, the clients' piece of advice is to visit this restaurant as well. Try tasty beef, salami and lamb. Martins West Gastropub boasts good sticky toffee pudding, ice cream and Brezeln. A lot of visitors order delicious scotch, draft beer or wine. Great ginger beer, coffee or tea are what can make you return to this place.

The cosy atmosphere of this spot makes customers feel relaxed and have a good time. The appealing staff welcomes visitors all year round. The nice service is something these restaurateurs care about. You will appreciate attractive prices. Cute decor is appreciated by guests. But the general score for this restaurant isn't high on Zomato.

Fairly popular in downtown Redwood City, seems to strike a chord with the 30-somethings on Friday nights. It can give off a slight pretentious air at times, but whatever. Service can be slow, portions are small and pricey, parking can be abysmal. Not a fan.

Out in the boondocks but a definite find! The ambiance is awesome with a barrel of melted wax from years of candles.  The menu was to the point with some straight forward comfort food, plenty of specialty craft beers and some Irish whiskey that they only serve 3 shots per night because it's THAT exclusive. Tempting, but I went with a white collar $19 bottle of beer instead.  It was good, but honestly I can't remember it being exquisitely unique.  Hell, can't even remember the name. What I do remember, though, is the mac and cheese.  Bubbling hot and crusted on top with crumbs.  It was creamy, cheesy, and hit the spot with a cold beer.  The burger was pretty satisfying as well with its plump and juicy lamb patty and arugula (my fave!). This spot is a drive coming from Sacramento, but if I'm in the neighborhood again, you bet I'll be back for that Irish shot!

Martins West Gastropub is a great place to lave a dinner or lunch!!! My colleagues and I were having a Friday lunch here when all other places were totally overbooked. Located one block out of the main downtown area, this awesome place serves great food and a variety of drinks. The service was fast and friendly. All of our meals made it out at the same time, which was amazing because it is such a rare occasion to have whole 12 meals out in a reasonable amount of time all together! I've ordered a mushroom sandwich with egg and salad, which was ok but not amazing. People in my group really loved lamb burger, a salad with prawns, and chicken sandwich. My colleagues who ate these were very satisfied with their choices. The server was nice enough to take our picture and came to check on us a couple of times. I highly recommend Martins West Gastropub if you haven't been here before.
