One of my favorite dining experiences I've had. Food was superb and service was excellent. Please don't ask for Todd to be your waiter-- I want him to be available for me
Had a reservation and left after 30 minutes without being seated. There were several empty tables during that time.
Really cool ambience at Maude's Liquor Bar--quaint low light restaurant with brick interior sets the mood for a perfect date night or small group dinner outing. We just stopped by for a light dinner/appetizer share and got the Steamed mussels with celery, lemon, pastis and Ricotta gnocchi with butternut squash and sage. The mussels were amazing--the pastis (an anise-flavored French spirit) created a creamy sauce full of rich flavor that complemented the celery and herbs and it left me wanting a second order of mussels! The gnocchi however left room to impress. Perhaps that's my fault for ordering Italian at a French bistro but they gnocchi themselves lacked flavor and were too pillowy making me want more texture in the dish. The well cooked butternut squash and high quality ingredients saved this dish! I'd come back to try more of their French cuisine and maybe a seafood tower on a special occasion as they are priced really high.
