In case the rain took you by surprise during the promenade around Brown Hart Gardens, stop by this restaurant. The menu of British cuisine under the direction of the talented chef is gorgeous here. The Mayfair Chippy is proud of good cod fish and chips, grilled cod and tartare. Nicely cooked gâteau, apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding have an appetizing taste. Delicious Sauvignon blanc, lager or cider will make your meal tastier and you'll certainly come back. A selection of great tea, americano or ginger beer is provided to visitors.
The cosy atmosphere of this place makes guests feel relaxed and have a nice time. The accommodating waitstaff meets you at this spot all year round. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are adequate. The designer created a divine decor. Google gives it 4.5 so you can select this restaurant to have a good time here.

Small place but the staff, particularly the host, are quite nice and accommodating. Every table was full and the counter was busy. The fish and chips were delicious. Good portions, sauces were all amazing. A classic British dish everyone must have. Well done.

The best place to have Fish and Chips with goblets of vodka - Ever !It’s a tiny cozy place - so always a good idea to call and make a reservation

Wife and I were recently in London and wanted to have some proper fish & chips. We read all the positive reviews of the Mayfair Chippy and it also happened to be a short walk from our hotel, so we stopped in for dinner. We didn't have a reservation, which wasn't an issue, and were seated immediately. We knew what we were going to order...fish & chips of course! We both ordered the Mayfair Classic, which included fish, chips, mushy peas, tartar sauce, and a curry sauce. My wife had the cod and her chips were topped with Berkswell cheese & truffle and I had the haddock with just plain chips. We had mixed feelings about the food. The fish was great! It was very fresh and the batter wasn't too heavy. The chips were ok, nothing remarkable about it. We didn't like the Berskwell chese & truffle on top of the chips. The mushy peas tasted like their namesake, the tartar sauce was fine, but the curry sauce was not good. Regarding service, our server was good. She was attentive and very helpful with questions we had with the menu. Overall, the restaurant was clean, food was decent, and service was good. But there's nothing about the restaurant that sets it apart from other restaurants or chip shops. Also, why is the take away menu more extensive than the dine-in menu? For example...the take away menu included a fish finger sandwich, but the dine-in menu didn't have this item. Oh well...our experience was just ok. I don't see what the fuss is about with this restaurant. I would probably go back, but just for take away.
