My father-in-law loves the sausage and egg McMuffin at McDonald's. Recently I got the honor of bring the 80 year old man his breakfast every morning. I am generally not a Patreon of McDonald's. The whole quarter of a piece of cheese on the McFish ended our relationship years ago. I was glad to see I had made the right choice those years ago. I came through the drive-through for four straight mornings. I ordered the same thing each time. Sausage Egg Cheese McMuffin, hold the cheese and add bacon. I had to interact with two people each time. Of the eight chances, only one person spoke to me and said, you are welcome, as I politely said thank you at each window. It is McDonald's food, so there is nothing to get excited about. Especially with the quarter of a piece of cheese, and now I see they did a quarter of a piece of bacon on your McMuffin, so service seems to be a thing to focus on. Not at this McDonald's; their focus is on their phones and getting you through the line with as little human interaction as possible. I hear AI is coming to ensure that the process is improved. Maybe this store is doing a test. Either way, I will see If I can convince my father-in-law to start eating somewhere else.
