Simple breakfast was over $30/person ! Service was bad, almost impossible to get coffee refills. The grounds are gorgeous like a botanical garden!

We had a great experience having our wedding here on 9/6/2026! One of the big reasons we picked the venue was because we had a lot of people traveling, and having a fun hotel right there was a huge plus. Our guests really enjoyed staying on the property, and the families with kids especially loved the pool. We had the ceremony in Haynes Square and the reception in Haynes Hall. After the ceremony they reset the outdoor space with tables and games, which was really nice for cocktail hour and gave people the option to hang out outside. We had 57 guests, and I was originally worried Haynes Hall might feel too big for our group, but it was totally fine. I would agree with the recommendation to have the ceremony a little later in the day if you can. Ours was at 4:30 and we were in pretty direct sun, which you can definitely see in some of the pictures. Laura, the event coordinator, was great. She answered all of our questions quickly over email and met with us several times in person to go over options. Everyone we worked with was helpful, and the service was great throughout the whole process. They also took really good care of our cake, which was delivered the day before. We also really liked that so much is handled by the venue itself. They take care of the tables, linens, silverware, food, and drinks, which meant we didn’t have to coordinate a bunch of extra vendors. The only area that was a little more mixed for us was dinner. They were AMAZING with dietary restrictions and were super helpful figuring out how to accommodate everyone. We did plated meals with chicken, salmon, and tofu. My partner and I thought the dinner was just okay, but our guests were generally happy with it. The broccolini was definitely undercooked across the board, but the tofu tikka masala seemed to be the favorite. The biggest food hit was absolutely the tots bar that came out around 9 p.m. after dancing. Everyone loved it, and I now have one of my favorite wedding photos of me in my dress holding a giant bowl of ranch like I’m about to drink it, so I’d say the tots bar was a success. Overall, we were really happy we chose the venue and had a great experience there.

I stayed at McMenamins Anderson School with friends and the BRUNCH was the absolute highlight of our visit. There's a historic vibe around the whole property with such a fun and memorable feel with garden art, giving us a relaxed feel around the breakfast bonfire. We had a girls weekend planned in Bothell and a weekend brunch. The staff was really great and had facts to share with us. I had the eggs benedict which they said had a hollandaise made every morning, and you could tell! The coffee was McMenamins roasted beans which we bought later in the gift shop. One of my friends had the french toast - wow! Definitely made with love and reminded me of funnel cakes. We also tried the cottage potatoes and asked about the seasoning, they said it's a secret. Whoa! I did love that you could get down on some grits and eggs or order a gooey Rueben sandwich (which was amaaaazing). We got a side of the truffle fries and their specialty cajun tots which were seriously the best thing I've ever eaten. I do wish I had better food pics but we were just EATING our way through the Tavern restaurant (all ages btw). We had a great weekend wandering the gardens together, saying hi to the resident chickens eating apples from their apple tree, and stopped by for one more brunch before heading out. AND the weekday brunch was just as good as the weekend. Mimosas and all. Best weekend, every staff member was so nice and knowledgeable. Now, if only I could eat there every day! We'll be back soon!
