This place is extremely friendly and welcoming. Great selection of beers and a strong food menu. I will for sure be back here.
Listen, if you arrive at your Midtown hotel near midnight and you skipped the hummus snack box on your JetBlue  flight, chances are pretty good that you'll be peckish but feeling too guilty to hit a Papaya Dog for a wiener fix. You know a moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips, and I've had the hips to prove it. However, after a failed attempt at another restaurant that just closed their kitchen, I found a mindful meal can be had at the most unlikely of places, a convivial Irish pub where no one else was eating. They were all hoisting a pint or five. That didn't stop the bartender/shift manager from serving me like a regular diner. They had a Tuesday night special, the $17 Watermelon Chicken Salad, which featured slices of Cajun spice-rubbed chicken breast, mixed greens, red onion, tomato, cucumber, crumbled blue cheese, fresh watermelon wedges, all of it drizzled with raspberry vinaigrette (photo: ). It really hit the spot without bloating me before bed, but first I have to sing "Danny Boy" at the bar. FOOD - 4 stars...watermelon and chicken can go together AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...Cheers-like setting SERVICE - 4 stars...gotta give it up for Liam TOTAL - 4 don't have to give up on a mindful meal at the midnight hour in NYC RELATED - Hungry in NYC? Here's a collection of places I've tried and reviewed:
Had a late night dinner & drinks here with friends. Relaxed atmosphere, great service, excellent food & good prices. LOVED the "Irish Pie" which was a pizza.....highly recommend the place & menu.
