The greatest view of Ackland Art Museum is exactly from this place. If you want to taste tasty pork dumplings, this is the restaurant to go to. This restaurant offers you dishes at good prices. However, you should pay attention that Mei Asian earned a below average Zomato rating which displays that this place has something to improve.

Great Asian food. They have lunch specials which is very student budget friendly. Small restaurant but good ambience. I would definitely go back! I wish they had lunch specials during weekends though.

This restaurant is the worst restaurant on Franklin Street. The service is really bad. The servant does not care about you and let you wait, wait and wait. The food is overpriced and small dishes, you can not full even if you have a small stomach. I came there with my friend and we ordered three dishes (a fish, a chicken and a vegetable). These dishes are so-called special dishes that do not have a price on the main menu. Each person was charged for 20 dollars. Then, the next time, I cam there with my two friends, and we ordered the same three dishes (a fish, a chicken and a vegetable). This time, each person was charged for 20 dollars. I swear the same amount of food, the same dishes. But each person still charged for very high price!!!!!! I asked for the reason, the servant said that they could not offer me the exact price for each dish, which means that they charged the price for whatever they want!!!!!!!They cannot even tell the specific price for each one. I was very angry about that. Then the servant said like if you cannot afford this, then you should not order that. She was so rude!!!!

I have very ambivalent feelings for Mei Asian; I was very tempted to give only 3 stars, but upon reflection, the food was cheap enough and in plentiful enough quantity that I would think it unfair to rate it lower. However, this is probably the least enthusiastic 4 star rating I will ever give, because almost nothing stood out as amazing, but nothing fell short either. I thought that the pork chops were probably the best dish ordered at my table and the singaporean street noodles were pretty disappointing. The curry chicken is pretty decent, and the pad thai is not highly recommended. However, overall, I could eat here again if I was craving some cheap Asian and it does have some quality. The rice was pretty meh though, just thought to mention it here
