Absolutely amazing food, service and view! Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff was super friendly! Not to mention we had window seating and the breeze/view was perfect, especially when the sun went down!
My wife and I went there for our fiftieth wedding anniversary.   We selected Michelle's because my brother is a regular and my business partner recommended it for such an important event Made reservations weeks in advance for the window table,  got an Uber from Kailua.   Promptly seated...that's when it began - the dinner experience from hell 25 minutes for the drink order, which came wrong ( corrected after 2 try's and then more minutes). Appetizers were reasonably timed except that famous Lobster Bisque was burned. I have lived in Kailua since 1988 and before that we lived in New Orleans - much of that time in the restaurant business.  I fully appreciate  the challenges with fine dining, personnel and quality control. So bisque goes back and for the next twenty minutes I'm staring at my empty wine glass and my wife's appetizer. This was my first trip to the bar for wine. Waiter  is now servicing the next table. No glance at us or offer a substitute. Luckily the water person helps out and we order 2 more wines for the entrees. 40 minutes later entrees show up. They were fine.  We order dessert and settle in for the wait. After 20 more minutes I go back to the bar (2nd trip) and asked the bartender if our waiter still worked there and got another wine.  By the end of the 3+hours we were knew we would not be back, neither will  the dozens of long time friends wanting to know "How was your Golden Anniversary dinner?"
Came here tonight for our anniversary and I have to say this was our favorite restaurant ever! By a lot. Literally no where I have ever gone has been so great in service or in taste! James and Jill were the best employees we could've hoped to have serving us and made this our best night out we've ever had! We ordered a lot more than we usually do tonight but considering all the great things on their menu there is no other option! We were always checked up on and never waited long for anything, the food was made perfectly and so much of it is tableside which is really great for the experience. Along with the amazing view of the sunset and beautiful design of the restaurant this is the perfect place for literally every special occasion and is definitely worth the price as they will outdo any other fine dining restaurant! Again I can't thank James and Jill enough for how much they did to make our anniversary the best night ever!
