Busiest Vegetarian restaurant in London? Rock up, ask for a table, get a bar-tab number and have a drink while waiting on the steps outside. Super busy on a warm Thursday night, but waited less than estimated, and did I mention we had drinks? Very surprising fantastic food. Went for the Starters... shared one of everything! (5) Had a couple of Mains to share, every single dish note worthy. ("someone is trying to show off in the kitchen" is my expression) Staff "knew" we would want side plates to aid sharing, and they appeared. Super busy, but we weren't ignored, which was great. Definite come back location.
When a meat lover really likes a vegetarian restaurant, it's a good indication that it serves great food. This was my first time eating at the KX location but I loved the food in Soho previously. I had the buffalo "chicken" burger, expecting the mock chicken to be squeaky and maybe rubbery, but was really surprised at how much the texture and taste resembled real chicken. It was absolutely delicious, and I'd happy eat here again. The menu was varied and interesting, and their mocktails - Oh my word, the mocktails. The guava colada was absolutely delicious, as was the "nogroni" - finally, mocktails that aren't just fruit juices but taste like proper thought has gone into making non-alcoholic drinks delicious as opposed to just an afterthought. We really appreciated this. You need to eat here, whether or not you're vegetarian.
Heard a lot of gpod tjings and since we were out eith vegan frornds, thought it was worth trying. Got the spicy bean burger, and bananna batter waffles. In total spend about £18 and still felt hungry which was annoying. Worth trying, or going there for coctails.
