Our party-of-5 adults chose to eat a Sunday dinner at Mission 19 primarily because of its proximity to our B&B, but also to introduce the younger pair of visitors from the UK to Mexican cuisine. The Taqueria appears to be primarily a take-out business (there was a steady stream of pre-order customers that evening), with a handful of small tables crammed into the minimal dining space. The kiosk order option was cumbersome, and there was significant confusion of orders placed there & at the counter. But in the process of getting those sorted, the manager (owner?) and the serving staff were very cordial & attentive. Where it counted most, our group's variety of dishes were all enjoyed and were well worth the prices for the volume of ingredients. We would recommend Mission 19 Taqueria to other travelers to Monterey (as well as locals) who want to sample freshly prepared Mexican dishes. But take-out ordering might be your better choice.
