If you have food allergies, Mit Bistrot in Ostia is an absolute MUST! I have a milk allergy and usually dining out is stressful, but our waiter was a absolute legend! Super patient, insanely attentive, and was literally asking the kitchen about cross-contamination before I even had to prompt him. He steered us toward the food and WOW - the veggie burger was killer, and the pizza was just as insane! Also, a quick PSA for everyone, including myself : Please, let’s respect ourselves and local culture - after 11 AM, it’s ESPRESSO ONLY! Stop ordering milky coffees in the afternoon! Thank you! Highly recommend this place, especially if you have allergies and/or vegan diet. They actually care about the details.
