YOU MUST GO HERE BEFORE LEAVING HOI AN This is by far my favorite restaurant in Hoi An. The service, the atmosphere, the food itself... every single thing was perfect. I went twice, pictures from both meals included. They are on the expensive side for Hoi An, but for good reason. Every dish I had was expertly prepared and tasted so good I wished I could bring a second stomach so I could eat more. I actually had to ask my server to give me 10 minutes to digest before the next course so I could eat more, haha. Chef Thom really knows what he's doing. I have never in my life eaten such tender, flavorful pork belly and now I will not be satisfied with anything else. My family is from Liberia and whenever I've had cassava there was a little bit of chalkiness to it. I thought that was natural, but the cassava I had at Moc Garden was perfectly cooked— there was no chalkiness whatsoever. Every dish was beautifully presented and seasoned. If you sit outside, you can watch the koi pond or enjoy the garden while you eat. Inside is just as beautiful, with comfortable seating and exemplary cleanliness. I ordered two different teas and fully intend to try and recreate them at home because of how delicious they were. Both times, I ordered a few things expecting small portions only to leave so full I needed a nap, they definitely give your money's worth! I really cannot say enough good things about Moc Garden. The servers who took care of me were Vy and Chao, both were super sweet and helpful. Both the servers and the chef himself checked in to make sure everything was to my liking and were happy to work with me if anything needed changing. If I hadn't been so determined to try various foods from many places (this was my first trip to Vietnam) I would have eaten here almost every day. Again, everyone really must eat here at least once before leaving Hoi An. In the pictures from the first visit, I had: The meal comes with a free appetizer of sourdough bread, some compound butter, and a fruit jam to go on top. Butterfly Pea Lime Tea 3-Tier Spring Roll Tower Pork Belly, Cassava, and Veggies Mango Sorbet And the second visit: That same sourdough with butter and jam (i forgot to take a picture before I ate it this time) Passionfruit Mint Tea Cao Lau with Abalone and Pork Belly Fruit Platter Linguine Arrabbiata with Spicy Tomato Sauce (I was too full, so I took this one home with me) Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₫800–900k Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
