If you are in the mood for good food, do check this place out. Awesome!! But make sure you have reservations-
I never knew this place existed until a friend recommended it. I went for dinner and the venue is great! There is a full bar and seating upstairs. We had the carrot hummus to start and it was delicious! I had squash risotto, also delicious, but I would definitely order something else next time. We shared the bread pudding that was warm, sweet, with a hint of salt. Delicious. I also had their Elf On The Shelf cocktail that tastes like Christmas in a cup. All around an excellent cozy, but trendy restaurant. I'll be back!
I have come to Mockingbird twice, once for dinner a couple years ago and today for lunch.  Both times were great.  For lunch, I had a seared trout with wheat berries, roasted cauliflower, and squash.  The trout was perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, with a caper and red onion sauce.  The wheat berries added a nice grain to soak up the sauce and offered a textural contrast to the soft trout.  The cauliflower still had a nice bite and was well seasoned.  The squash contributed sweetness to balance the dish.  I also had the eggnog panna cotta, which was delightfully creamy and had that classic eggnog flavor.  It had an almond brittle and pomegranate seeds on top to give crunch and acidity to balance the sweet creaminess of the panna cotta.  I also sampled the bread pudding and peppermint chocolate cake, both of which were quite good.  The atmosphere feels trendy, but warm and inviting.  I particularly like the Oakland artwork on the walls.  The service was very warm, welcoming, efficient, and quite accommodating.
