One of the best Ramen restaurants in Melbourne. Very authentic flavours and nicely done. You can customise your ramen, the broth is rich and silky, the pork is not grilled, and the egg is cooked to perfection. They have lovely gyozas and edamame. Also a nice selection of Japanese beer. I definitely recommend this place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chashu Tonkotsu Ramen, Spicy Tonkotsu

Mr Ramen San was a godsend. Tucked away on a side street, it doesn't look like much from the outside – just a small shopfront with a few metal kegs hinting at the deliciousness inside. Stepping in, the place is cozy, to put it mildly. But the friendly welcome from the staff and the amazing aroma of simmering broth instantly put me at ease. I opted for the classic Chashu Ramen, and let me tell you, the hype is real. The noodles were perfectly springy, the broth rich and flavorful, and the chashu pork – melt-in-your-mouth good. It was clear they use high-quality ingredients, and the local, organic angle really shines through. They even have a whole vegetarian section on the menu, which is awesome to see these days. My friend got the Vegetarian Chashu Ramen and was raving about the creativity of the plant-based "ham." Plus, they have Sapporo beer on tap, which perfectly complemented the whole experience. Overall, Mr Ramen San is a hidden gem. It's no-frills, but the delicious, authentic ramen and friendly service make it a must-visit for any ramen lover in Melbourne. Just be prepared for a potentially tight squeeze – a small price to pay for such a big bowl of happiness. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
