Come for the coffee and stay for.... so much more! The company is great, Mon and Maayan are beautiful people and attract more of the same. As you hang out in the coffee shop all sorts of people will wander by and stop in to chat. Everyone has a great story to tell. If you have a few hours, as we did, Mon's cooking class is awesome. Mon will teach you about the local ingredients but will also tell you what you can use back home if the exact same things aren't available. This is a real hands on cooking class in which you will learn to make some awesome local dishes (not like the bigger cooking classes where basically you just get watch someone else prepare food). Half the fun of the class is the slow relaxed pace sitting eating the food and drinking some beer (or water, or soda) between preparing the various dishes. There's no rush and no feeling that Mon has anything else to do in the world other than hang out cook and enjoy eating with his new friends, which you will be! Being able to cook with the local ingredients with confidence has saved us lots of money while we've been here and I can't wait to get home and wow all my friends with my new skills... food IS love. Hang out here and you gets lots of both!
Lovely place and very friendly hosts! I got addicted to the cinnamon porridge they serve for breakfast. And the many cute cats hanging around make the place even harder to leave. I can't wait to visit again!
