Nestled in the heart of Düsseldorf, Münstermann Kontor is a must-visit establishment for anyone craving authentic German cuisine. The ambiance is lively and bustling, with a cozy and friendly atmosphere that makes diners feel right at home. The interior design is simple yet elegant, with long communal tables that encourage conviviality and conversation. Prices are fair and reasonable, making this fine dining spot accessible to all.
The menu boasts an impressive array of traditional German dishes, such as the mouth-watering schnitzel and the delicious Wiener Art Schnitzel served with fried potatoes and cucumber salad. Vegetarian options, like the truffle ravioli, are also available. The soups, such as the potato soup, are a revelation and the perfect warm-up on a cold evening. The drinks menu offers a short but good selection of wines and beers, with fair prices. The alcohol-free cocktails are also worth trying, especially the amazing blood-orange fish and tuna tar tar.
Münstermann Kontor is always busy, so it's best to book a table in advance. Outside seating is available, but blankets are provided to keep diners warm during the colder months. While the staff can be busy, they always take the time to converse in English and provide an English menu. Overall, Münstermann Kontor is a gem of an eatery that offers a true taste of Germany in a lively and welcoming environment.
What started as a shop selling eggs and butter later became a delicatessen and today this spot is a popular bistro with a pleasingly lively urban atmosphere and an open kitchen. The tasty dishes include German classics such as currywurst and Wiener schnitzel, but also international dishes. The food is accompanied by decent wines by the glass, and the service is friendly...

Whoever wields the ladle in the gastronomic area here at the Münstermann Kontor, respect, what a handiwork. Maguro sashimi (tataki!) and salmon tartare in a bed of delight, without compromising top quality. The redfish and the Viennese followed on the same footing, from the warm potato salad to the jus, the most aromatic cucumber salad (cilantro?) and the wonderfully accompanying Chardonnay (2020 Hofmann)... an absolute recommendation (as well as the service!).
